Pop The Cork At Effervescence

Champagne Patrons

No putting the cork back in the bottle now. The cork is well and truly popped and the French Quarter’s very own Champagne bar is now open for business. Last night we had occasion to attend the grand opening of Effervescence. Located at 1036 N. Rampart, Effervescence is conveniently on the edge of the historic French Quarter, right on the Ursuline street stop for the new Rampart streetcar line and an easy hop off the interstate for those commuting via Uber or Lyft. The grand opening celebration will last through the weekend so if you missed it last night you still have time to be part of the festivities.

The hours are 4 p.m. until midnight Wednesday through Thursday, 3 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings and on Sundays opens from 3 p.m. until midnight. There are small plates available to pair with champagne or wine. The fried chicken dish and mushroom tarte are notable choices. With 18 sparkling wines and prosecco on tap you should be able to find something that appeals. These can also be ordered by the half glass for those of you adventurous souls wanting to try several.
Effervescence is definitely on WhoDatDoDat’s list of places to go. See you in NOLA!
