New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints play the Seattle Seahawks for the first time since 2007 when the New Orleans Saints won 28-17. This is the 11th time these two teams have met and the record is tied at 5 -5.
Kickoff is at scheduled for 3:05 CDT at the New Orleans Saints Superdome.
All week long Reggie Bush has said that he wanted to play but it does not look like that is going to happen. Reggie Bush (RB) is still listed as questionable and Pierre Thomas (RB) is still out with an ankle injury. Darren Thomas (S) hamstring, and Jeremy Shockey (TE) rib are also out for the game. Other players listed as questionable are Malcolm Jenkins (S) neck, Jason Kyle (LS) shoulder and Patrick Robinson (CB) ankle. Then the New Orleans Saints have Chris Ivory (RB) shoulder and Jon Stinchcomb (T) knee listed as probable. The Seahawks injury reports lists the following players: Out: DT Colin Cole (ankle), G Mike Gibson (ankle), TE Anthony McCoy (knee). Doubtful: RB Michael Robinson (hamstring), WR Brandon Stokley (calf), WR Golden Tate (ankle). Probable: QB Matt Hasselbeck (left wrist), T Russell Okung (ankle), LB Lofa Tatupu (knee), S Earl Thomas (not injury related).
Not having Reggie Bush back means the New Orleans Saints will still be without their best threat. Reggie Bush being out means teams can play most of the offensive players straight up. No real double teams are necessary. This is not ideal but the New Orleans Saints have worked with this scenario and are 6 -3 and right in the thick of things in their division and in the conference. The Seahawks are 5 -4 and are also in the hunt.
