Steamboat NATCHEZ Sets Sail to Celebrate Progress Since Hurricane Katrina
River Cruises, Tales of Survival, and Calliope Concerts and Live Jazz Band
Make Up Fun-filled Day
WHAT:   To recognize the five year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and to celebrate the city’s progress since the storm, the Steamboat NATCHEZ and its crew invite you to join them for a day of special events from Calliope concerts featuring New Orleans music, and a NATCHEZ Captain’s first-hand account of the Steamboat Natchez’s experience through Katrina. All cruise passengers for the day will receive a special commemorative NATCHEZ pin with the steamboat’s survival story.
Louisiana residents who present a valid Louisiana drivers license will climb aboard the NATCHEZ for half off the regular price on either Harbor Day Cruise. The NATCHEZ will set sail on its regularly scheduled, daily cruises where live music will be provided including a Jazz band.

WHO:      The Steamboat NATCHEZ invites all the people of New Orleans and those visiting the City to take part in this celebration.      
WHY:      Come and celebrate the NATCHEZ Steamboat as an integral part of the New Orleans survival story and the progression of the City of New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina. From the Calliope concert, to the cruises down the river, this event looks to celebrate all that is New Orleans by acknowledging that although there is still recovery work to be done throughout parts of the city, we have come so far since the initial devastating impact of storm.
