New Orleans Saints Stay In The Playoff Picture After Week 14 Complete
New Orleans Saints
With 14 weeks in the book, the playoff picture for the New Orleans Saints is getting clearer. The New Orleans Saints are leading the teams fighting for a wildcard spot with a record of 10-3. The Giants after their win last night over the Vikings are at 9-4. The Atlanta Falcons are leading the conference and the NFC South with a record of 11-2. Minnesota, Washington, Dallas, Detroit and Carolina have been eliminated in the NFC.
Going into week 15 the Falcons are in the driver’s seat in the NFC. They only need either the Giants or the Eagles to lose and then they will clinch a playoff spot. The New Orleans Saints have a solid hold on the number 5 spot but are still shooting for the division title. They play the Ravens, who are still in the playoff hunt, the division rival Falcons and the Bucs who have an outside chance at the playoffs at this point.

New Orleans Saints
This Video tells a story of a team, the New Orleans Saints, that in most cases had a ton of bad luck and shadiness doused with a bit of adversity in the decades the franchise has been in existence.
Then come the legends to help the City pick up where they left off and take them where they never been before, making New Orleans finally the Championship worthy city it should be.
And soon to be City of legends..

New Orleans Saints Continue Winning Ways 12 12 2010
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints continued their win streak with a 31 – 13 win over the St Louis Rams. The game was not as close as the score. The New Orleans Saints dominated the game on both sides of the ball.
This win has the New Orleans Saints reaching at least 10 wins for the second straight season. That is the first time that has occurred since the 1991-92 seasons. This is the fifth game in a row that the New Orleans Saints have scored at least 30 points. Today the New Orleans Saints scored on their first possession. This is the 18th time since the start of the 2009 season that the New Orleans Saints have done that. The offense had control of the game from the start and never looked back. Drew Brees completed 25 of 40 passes for 221 yards with 3 TDs and 2 INTs.
The defense seems to be finding its groove. Cornerback Malcolm Jenkins had a great game. He had two interceptions and took one all the way back for a touchdown. Safety Roman Harper also forced his 5th fumble of the season and got his second sack in the last two games.
The New Orleans Saints now get ready to travel to play the Baltimore Ravens next week. The New Orleans Saints are 10 – 3 and the Baltimore Ravens are 8 – 4.

The New Orleans Saints are leading the hunt for a wildcard spot in the NFC and the Rams lead the NFC West. Both need a win to keep pace.
Reggie Bush returned last week and this week it looks like Pierre Thomas will return. Chris Ivory has been carrying the load but the running game of the New Orleans Saints needs help. The New Orleans Saints are currently averaging less than 100 yards per game at 98.5. The Rams on the other hand are averaging 105.5 yards per game. On the passing side of the game, the New Orleans Saints are averaging 290.9 yards per game while the Rams under rookie Sam Bradford are at 209.2. New Orleans Saints Mid Week Update 12 08 2010
New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints Running Back Pierre Thomas is expected to return after being out for the past three months with an ankle injury. Thomas was part of a dual attack with Reggie Bush prior to injuring his ankle in the third week of the season.
The New Orleans Saints could use the help a healthy Pierre Thomas will provide. In the past several weeks, the New Orleans Saints have gotten off to fast starts but have allowed the games to become close. Part of the reason is lack of offensive production in the second half of those games. Reggie Bush is receiving and outside threat even though he has started running inside the tackles of late. Chris Ivory has stepped up his game. He has gained 636 yards through the Bengals game and has scored 5 touchdowns. Having the trio of Bush, Ivory and Thomas will make the New Orleans Saints more of an issue for opposing defenses. Thomas has been very effective when they use him on screen plays.
The New Orleans Saints have done what championship teams do. They find a way to win. They have had injuries, and blown first half leads yet they are still second in the division behind the Falcons and lead the wildcard teams at 9 -3.
The New Orleans Saints play the Rams in the Superdome Sunday December 12 in one of the late games. This is a game where both teams have something to play for. The New Orleans Saints want to keep pace with the Falcons in the division and stay ahead of the Giants in the wildcard race. The Rams need to win their division in order to make the playoffs.

New Orleans Saints Stay In The Playoff Picture With Win
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints kept pace with the division leading Atlanta Falcons with their win against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The Falcons beat the Bucs to improve to 10 – 2 and currently have the best record in the NFC. The New Orleans Saints improved to 9 – 3 by virtue of their win over the Bengals and lead the hunt for a wildcard spot.
The New Orleans Saints play a tougher schedule for the remainder of the season than the Falcons. The New Orleans Saints play 4 games all except one against teams that are in the playoff hunt. Their final game against the Bucs is the only game against a team with a losing record. The Falcons on the other hand play two teams with nothing but pride to play for, the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Bucs, and two teams, the New Orleans Saints and the Seattle Seahawks, who are in the playoff picture. The Seahawks are 6 – 6 and barely hanging on. This sets up a showdown on 12/27/2010 assuming the New Orleans Saints and the Falcons both win out.

New Orleans Saints Game Day Update Dec 5 2010
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints play the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincinnati. The New Orleans Saints 8-3 are in the playoff hunt right behind their division rivals the Atlanta Falcons 9-2. The New Orleans Saints can stay on the heels of the Falcons with a win.
The New Orleans Saints show as inactive RB Pierre Thomas. All week it was not know if Thomas would play. This will mean extra carries for RB Julius Jones and RB Reggie Bush. Thomas injured his ankle in week three against the Falcons, and while it was originally reported he would miss only a few weeks, those few weeks have turned into nine after new information surfaced that he actually tore a tendon. Head coach Sean Payton had said he felt “pretty good” about Thomas’ chances to play and was encouraged by his ability to cut up the field during practice. The team had targeted his return for this week but they will wait one more week to allow the ankle to heal up further.
Also ruled out against Cincinnati is backup running back Ladell Betts who injured his neck a few weeks ago. He has not been practicing with the team since the injury and was not expected to play.
Tight end Jeremy Shockey will make his return to the football field after suffering a bruised rib in the first quarter of the Saints win over the Carolina Panthers in week nine.
Shockey took a shot in the back while catching a short touchdown pass and immediately left the field. He was later taken to a local hospital in Charlotte for X-ray’s that ultimately revealed a severely bruised lower rib.
The NFL active career interception leader will be back in the lineup after suffering a hamstring injury that has kept him out the last two games. Free safety Darren Sharper will replace stellar second year defensive back Malcolm Jenkins at the position, a move that allows Jenkins to move into a corner back role giving the Saints a lethal nickel and dime defensive formation.
Linebacker Anthony Waters is listed as questionable for the contest with an ankle injury and likely will not suit up come game time.
Cincinnati received three inches of snow Saturday, and there is a possibility of some accumulation during the game Sunday. It won’t be significant, but some snow showers should fall along with temperatures around 30 degrees. A brisk 10-15 mph wind is blowing through the stadium.
