What are the hottest upscale clubs in New Orleans at the moment?

I’m looking for a fun place to take a bachelor party in New Orleans on a Saturday night. We’re happy to pay for bottle service, but we’re looking for a sophisticated, diverse crowd and an active dance floor – preferably hip-hop music. French Quarter location is a bonus. Thanks for your suggestions! Here’s some info for you: http://www.tipitinas.com/calendar.asp http://search.cityguide.aol.com/neworleans/bars/browse/bar-club-hip-hop-rap-funk-french-quarter/v-47-1073-228 best of luck to you!

    New Orleans Jazz?

My friend and I are planning a trip to New Orleans during the summer. Our main attraction, and primary reason for going to New Orleans in particular, is Jazz music. We are both seventeen years old currently. Is there any well known shows which would be available to individuals of all ages? Could you please recommend some shows or events in particular? Please list the prices for any events listed. I’d prefer answers from people in the area who are familiar with the "jazz" scene. Thanks The Palm Court restaurant is in the French Quarter and you can get in at age 17. There is no cover because it is…

    Yo Mama!

Just off of Bourbon Street, a couple of doors down at 727 St. Peter is the coolest little pit stop with the best jukebox in the Quarter.  Yo Mama’s Bar and Grill is home to ice cold Abita and other beers and cocktails that hit the spot on a Vieux Carre’ cruise. Jumbo burgers piled with your choice of extras like bacon, mushrooms, cheddar and peanut butter (I kid you not) are mouthwateringly juicy.  A burger order includes an oversized loaded baked potato. You lightweights better share with a friend.  You will never finish this mountain of food alone. This time of year there is also spicy hot boiled crawfish. Good stuff!…

I am visiting New Orleans and want to know about exciting things to do?

Hello All, I am visiting New Orleans in January 2009 and would like to know where are the hot spots? Are there any great restaurants, night clubs or other tourist attractions to try out? I will be coming with my job so it would definitely be after 5-6pm outings. Thanks There is a restaurant on the corner of Conti and Bourbon called Ole New Awlins Cookery. I used to live in Baton Rouge area and have actually driven to New Orleans just to eat at this restaurant. I highly recommend the BBQ Shrimp. As for the haunted tours, they give a lot of false information but if that doesn’t matter…
