I am going on vacation to New Orleans in May, what should I definitely see?
Any suggestions for food, attractions, hotspots, or just anything interesting and cultural!
The French Quarter.
The Lake Pontchartrain Causeway.
hey Katie. I missed you.

Don’t eat at any chain restaurants. That’s just a waste of money if you’re traveling somewhere and want to experience new foods. The St. Louis Cathedral is definitely on your list if you’re coming to New Orleans. Be sure to get coffee and begniets at Café du Monde
Are you coming for Jazz fest? That’s late April – May 3rd. Definitely an event you’ll want to go to if you can make it.
Sad. Even though I live in New Orleans, I’m not sure of many interesting things to tourists. Try this website here: http://www.neworleansonline.com/neworleans/
It should tell you lots about New Orleans culture, events, restaurants, history, etc. Anything the tourist would want to know.

The French Quarter for sure. Honestly, I would also take a trip to where Katrina did the most damage and just look at the living conditions still to this day. I think it would be a sobering reminder. I know it is a vaction but you while you are there you should see it first hand, and uncensored. Besides that just enjoy it. It is one of the most diverse and liviley southern places. Have fun.
